Green Schools Ambassador Program
This year, Pine Jog Environmental Education Center along with the School District of Palm Beach County is piloting a new program – Green School Ambassadors. The Green Schools Ambassador Program is a mentoring-based program that provides hands-on assistance to schools new to the Green Schools Recognition Program and for those schools working to move from a School of Promise to a higher level of achievement. The program matches a host school with a mentor. The mentors are experienced green school coordinators who are passionate about helping schools achieve their green schools goals. Ultimately, the goal of this program is to grow the number and quality of Green Schools within the School District of Palm Beach County. Based on the results of this pilot, we hope to expand the program in the coming years.
